Over the years the area of the former Kruglanken parish (the village name originated in 1545 [1]) included the villages, estates and dwelling places shown in the above table. More information and relevant [and more detailed] maps can be accessed via Meyer's Gazetteer https://www.meyersgaz.org .
Fig. 1: Area of the Kruglanken parish (1802) [9]
When Prussia introduced civil registration in October 1874 the area of the Kruglanken parish was subdivided into four registration precincts:

Jesziorowsken, Knobbenort, Gansenstein, Gr. Eschenort;

Grunden, Kruglanken, Kruglinner Wiesenhaus, Neu Soldahnen, Soldahnen, Willudden;
Possessern / Grossgarten -
(Haarszen), (Numeiten), Pietzarken, Possessern, (Roggen)
[The registration files of this office are contained in the Local Heritage Book Possessern.]
Regulowken / Borkenwalde -
Jorkowen, Mosdzehnen, Siewen, Oberförsterei Borken, Regulowken, Steinbach:
Siewken -
Felsenstein, Grunden, Katzerowken, Kruglinner Wiesenhaus, Luisenhof, Neu Freudenthal,
Siewken, Soltmahnen, Wolfsbruch.
The website "Ostpreußen/Genealogische Quellen/Standesamtbestände Kreis Angerburg"[10] contains tables of the surviving civil registers kept at the different archives. The civil registers located at the Berlin State Archives have been digitised by Archion [11] and Ancestry [12] and can be downloaded in so far as they are not subject to statutory blocking periods.
Of the registers of the Kruglanken parish [13] only the duplicate registers for the years 1834 – 1874 have been saved, the registers for the years >1722 have disappeared at the beginning of World War I.
Over and above the data captured from the registers, data from the 1763 and 1769 "Mühlenconsignationen" [19] (digitisation by Norbert Skowron), as well as persons mentioned in the "Angerburger Kreis-Blatt" [15] and living in the Kruglanken parish area, or in the registration precinct respectively, as well as relevant extracts from the telephone books of the years 1914 [16] and 1942 [17] have been included in this local heritage book.
For the period from 1710 up to the earliest saved church registers [1834] about 50 annual church and school accounts containing detailed personal data have been digitised by the Olstyn Archives [18] and are availabe for download via < https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl >

After capture, during the addition and processing of the captured portions using GedTool [14], an attempt was made to standardise first and surnames.
On the digitised films of the duplicate church registers the contents of the column listing the godparents are difficult to decipher, often they are plain illegible. Thus data relating to godparents can be faulty and/or incomplete. As all of the remaining Kruglanken registers are duplicates they also contain mistakes originating from the copying process. Some mistakes in the birthregisters are caused by blatant errors in the data provided by midwives. Some of the registrars had their own ideas regarding the spelling of surnames: Frequently the signature of the person reporting an event does not match with the register entry.
As revised and/or new relevant genealogical data become available on a continual basis, any heritage book will remain a construction site. The reponsibility for errors, omissions, inaccuracies etc additional to those mentioned above rests with the editor.
