HENRY A. STRUCK
Henry Struck, 68, of 1212 Orchard Dr., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Wednesday at Milwaukee while visiting relatives.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Struck was born March 17, 1906, in Germany, son of the late Carl and Johanna Puellmann Struck. He came to the United States as a young child with his parents, residing in South Dakota for two years, moving to Newton in 1916 and later to Manitowoc where he had resided since. He married Ruth Neuhaus, Sept. 24, 1931, at Manitowoc. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Aid and Men’s Club of the church. He was employed by Hamann Construction Co., Manitowoc, as a timekeeper for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James of Urbana, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Bashaw of Manitowoc and Mrs. Gerald (Betsy) Manthey, of Stevens Point; a brother, the Rev. Gerhardt Struck, of Elkton, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Martha) Hischke, of Suring, Mrs. Norman (Hanna) Balge, of Wautoma and Mrs. Wilbert (Hildegard) Pipkorn, of Milwaukee; six grandchildren and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Clara Neuhaus, of Manitowoc. A daughter and a brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.
